Very nice Dave, will have to try that, cottonwood trees are like weeds here in Calgary.

Is the bark laminated together as you would do with cork?

Cottonwood Handle
Mar 1st, 2008 at 8:12am

Here's a handle I recently finished that is made from stabilized Madrone Burl and Cottonwood Bark. The bark turns very well is very light and has some really neat grain patterns. The bark I made this from was gathered last September from a downed tree in South Central Alaska. I will be restocking this fall when I return for some more trout fishing. Cheesy
The handle is finished with Tru Oil, applied while the handle was spinning on the lathe.
