I love to see what other people are doing and how they progress. It is also great to have others who have the experience in other aspects of the rod building field. Welcome and hope to see your work posted here and not just weaves.

G'day Allan,
Welcome to the site.
If there is anything we can do to help you just ask.
The good thing about weaving is that it doesn't need to be expensive.
If you only buy the threads you need when you need them it's no huge outlay.
Likewise simple jigs are all you need for most of your work. You can even make them yourself!
At the end of the day, you don't even need software!
There are plenty of free patterns on the web to get you weaving.
P2W just makes it easier to develop and change patterns quickly.

Well I have built some custom rods, but have never tackled weaving. Well other than my name. Nothing like what I have seen so far here though. So far I have been getting things needed slowly (tight budget) and reading. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it. Thanks Allan
