OOOPS! The jpeg in the zip file above is NOT the one I intended!

Here is the completed wrap although the photo could be better.

Design threads are Gudebrod HT 9000 size "A"
Wrapping thread is Anglers Warehouse size "B" reg.  #5896

I notice ther is no size "B" or metalics on the thread choice lists.

Raymond,
I can't find any reference to tell me what size a "B" thread is  Sad
You can add sizes and colors (it's in the help file), but the more details I can shipwith it the better.

cheers,
Owen

Hi again from Greece...
After months, I try my first easy weave. I lend the pattern from here, because I want something easy to use and quickly, to see how it looks and the most important for me: did I read the manual and I understand everything?

I make my own weave looms and after I place them on the rod, I start weaving. I print the left list without the dropped threads and without added threads... Cry

My first attempt, have no success because I confuse the threads and I start from the beggining.
At the second attempt, I finish the weave, but the most threads are in the left weave, and I didn't know what to do with them... Undecided
I start the third attempt, I read again the manual and I print the left list with everything highlighted. I print also the design to see the steps. Its easy to do, but if you don't read the manual with attention, you don't have results.
After 2 hours, this is my test weaving ...
The only problem I found after I finish with that, is with threads 8 and 10. They confuse but I cannot fix it...

Hi Fiesta,
You've done really well!
I know it all seems very complicated at first, but really it's quite simple.
You start out with all threads on th eleft.
If it shows on the list, you move it to the left.
If it does not show on the list, make sure it is on the right.

Your weave is nice and straight and looks pretty tightly packed, so your technique is good.

What size threads did you use?
It looks like both the design threads and the wrapping thread are the same size.  The fish looks a little short and fat.
Using the next size larger thread to wrap with will make it longer.

Great first job.
If you need any help let us know.

Oh!
One more thing.
See the slight gaps between some of the threads?
Don't put so much tension on the threads when you put them in the left jig.
If you loook carefully at the photo above you can see how you are pulling one wrapping thread over the one before it.

When you pick up a thread to move it over to the left, give it a gentle pull to tighten the work you have done, but once you put it in the jig use only light tension.

cheers,
Owen

Hi Owen,
you have right about threads. It's the same size, something like size D or E. Those threads, it's not for weaving. I have it for another job, but at this time I don't want to waste the good threads. It only a test. I know about the wrap thread, next time in a final weave, I use one size larger. Between wraps, I see a little space. This is from too much tension and next time I fix it.
Thank you for your advice.

Cheers,
Yiannis Wink

Now, I make different jigs, circle jigs, because with those jigs, I confuse the threads and I spend threads without reason. They looks like Renzetti, but most cheaper Wink. If I finished with them and someone interesting about, I post some photos to see how I make them. I thing it was very easy to do...

Very good Yiannis!
I'm glad you liked the pattern I made.

Yes! If you make the round jigs please post pictures.
