Alittle history..."old sarge" has been one of the Texas A&M logos forever. I tried making the pattern by hand before Pictoweave and gave up. Here's my first go at old sarge using Pictoweave. Jerry

Here's the pattern. As you can see, I didn't move the background image up and to the left from the start, couldn't figure out how to change it without starting over, so I worked from the pattern instead of the left list. I'm learning! Jerry

Looks great Jerry.
What you need to do is crop the image before you start.
Open it in your image editing program and take away everything that's not actually going to be part of the weave.
Then start your weave from there.
That way your left list will start from line 1.
In the pattern you have posted, you can also right click on the grid and delete the rows and columns that are not going to be part of the design.

I have done that here for you, so you can print your left list from it if you wish to use one.
I use both the left list & grid together.  I print the grid over several pages so the numbers are easy to see.
