Cloning the grid

The "Clone" buttons allow you to make a symmetrical copy of the grid in either the vertical or horizontal plane.

The size of the grid will be doubled in the plane selected and an exact copy will be made either to the right of, or below the existing pattern depending on which button is pressed.

This is helpful when creating logo's etc.

To use this function on a weave with a background image follow these steps.

1. Create your full sized pattern as normal.

2. Fill in half your grid using the image as a template. (Only fill in either the top or left half of grid). Here the image is in red and the pattern is being painted in blue.

3. Delete the background image.

4. Delete all the extra rows or columns, leaving only the half size pattern you wish to clone. (Don't forget to uncheck the "maintain aspect ratio" option)

5. Press the clone button to create the second half of the weave pattern.
